Resiliency Circles
Build Relational Resiliency & Agency
for Systems Transformation
Why Resiliency Circles in a Time of Metacrisis?
"To go fast, go alone.
To go far, go with others."
Changing systems and building new cultures requires robust movements. So many groups, communities and organizations, however, fail to engage in a sustained way because they struggle to manage interpersonal tensions. A Metacrisis frame shows us that to enact deep change in the world, we must build our own capacity for wise and compassionate relating.
Resiliency Circles (RCs) offer a unique small-group environment, facilitated by trained somatic professionals recognized by the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy, to experience a (mostly) safe, enjoyable and developmental space. You will learn to embody wise relational habits: authentic and compassionate relating, attunement to self and others and co-regulate your emotions - exploring and catalyzing emotions somatically in real-time with others - furthering wisdom, trust, and intimacy.
Learn to be fully yourself together with others, honouring the wisdom of the body, in service of societal transformation.
What happens in a Resiliency Circle?
2 Professionally trained facilitators will guide sessions to focus on the present moment experience of each group members, and let free associations flow from there, supporting body awareness and deep authenticity. Each session begins with a short embodied practice, and participants are then encouraged to share the present moment experience. This includes sharing your thoughts, feelings and sensations or reactions, and growing one's capacity to listen to one's embodied experience.
